- Use course content and the example Comp Sales Report to complete the following:
- Choose two departments that are under-performing in the YTD vs. Plan column.
- Develop two questions you would ask the managers in these departments to help you understand the performance results
- Identify two internal or external factors you would look at to help you understand the performance results
- Choose two departments that are over-performing in the YTD vs. Plan column.
- Develop two questions you would ask the managers in these departments to help you understand the performance results
- Identify two internal or external factors you would look at to help you understand the performance results
- What customer feedback would be useful to you for understanding the under- and over-performance in these departments (categories)?
- Develop two specific recommendations for the store: one to take advantage of opportunities in the over-performing departments, and one to improve performance in the under-performing departments.
