Only two questions should be answered by candidates.

• Each question accounts for 25% of your module’s overall grade.
The word limit for each question is 1000 words.
• Each question needs to be presented as an academic essay with all the necessary citations.
• The information offered in the Pars Food Limited case study should be cited in every essay.
• To support their responses, students should refer to their lecture notes, the main text book, additional suggested readings, or other sources (ideally scholarly journal articles).
• Each question must be presented as a distinct hardcopy document in a single packet.
Students cannot turn in these assignments separately. The pupils are accountable for any consequences that arise as a result of this.

The overall weight of this exam is 50% of your module grade.

Candidates need to integrate their knowledge and understanding of all business processes in order to successfully complete each question, all of which have been developed based on themes taught in lectures from semester one.
Note Before beginning to answer the questions, it is highly advised to review the “academic writing” and “referencing” rules because proper citing is expected.
Task 1: Business processes and sustainability (maximum of 1000 words):

Explain the significance of taking three-dimensional sustainability into account for Pars Food Ltd. and the effects it will have on future Pars stakeholders.

You are expected to consult your lecture notes as well as additional sources (such as books and journal articles) to discuss the potential effects of the three facets of sustainability on Pars’ current and future business strategies as well as those of its stakeholders. When defining the significance of three-dimensional sustainability, you are supposed to consider various business activities inside the organization.

Task 2: Marketing and Operations Management’s Impact on Business (Maximum 1000 Words):

Describe how the clients of Pars Food Ltd. could benefit from a culture of total quality management (TQM), supply chain management (SCM), and the four Ps of marketing.

You must review your lecture notes as well as additional materials (including books and journal articles) to explain how and where TQM, SCM, and the 4Ps may affect the customer value chain.
Task 3: HRM’s role in all business operations (maximum word count: 1000)

Describe how the Human Resources department might help Par’s “Pars Food, It’s All Good” mentality spread throughout the company.

In order to explain how human resource management (HRM) practices can support the development of core values, ethical values, and codes of conduct in all activities in the different departments of Pars Food Ltd., including purchasing, manufacturing, sales, marketing, delivery, and finance, you must consult lecture notes and other sources (such as textbooks and journal articles).

Task 4: The function of financial management in all corporate operations (maximum word count: 1000)

Examine whether various financial sources can help Par Foods Ltd. achieve its immediate goals.

To identify and describe the various sources of finance that are available to Pars, as well as to discuss the suitability, advantages, and disadvantages of those sources of finance with specific reference to Pars short-term objectives, you must consult your lecture notes and additional sources (such as textbooks and journal articles). Your response is expected to include explicit and thorough recommendations of the best financing options to achieve particular goals. Better responses will go into further detail about their choices.
Note Answer two of the aforementioned questions. You must at the very least make reference to the chapters of the main text book and the lecture and seminar notes to show that you comprehend. Better pupils will consult extra sources, including textbooks from different authors and journal papers.

Word counts and assignment penalties

No penalty will be assessed if the assignment is within +10% of the indicated word limit.

On the front page of your assignment and the assignment cover sheet, you must indicate the word count. Not included in the word count are:

Quotes from focus groups and interviews are included in the reference list, appendices, appropriate tables, figures, and illustrations, glossary, and bibliography.

Please be aware that direct secondary quotations and in-text citations, such as “dib-dab nonsense analysis” (Smith, 2011, p. 123), are counted as part of the word count.

Students are cautioned that academic misconduct will be considered in accordance with ARNA Page 30, Section 3.4, if this word count is fabricated.

10% of the mark tentatively assigned to the work will be taken away if the word limit of the entire assignment exceeds the +10% limit. As an illustration, if an assignment is worth 70 points but has more than 10% more words than allowed, a penalty of 7 points will be assessed, resulting in a final score of 63.

Students are warned that submitting an electronic copy of their assignment may be required.

Important information on ARNA rules

According to the rules, students must complete each assessment element that is part of the modules for their program. This holds true for each type of evaluation, as outlined in the module descriptor. Please be aware that

If any assessment component is not completed, even if the module pass mark has been obtained, students will fail the module; if the conditions for referral specified in Section 5 of ARNA1 are satisfied, a chance to retake the assessment will be provided; and if extenuating circumstances prevent completion of an assessment component, students should follow the procedure outlined in the Student Guide to Extenuating Circumstances 1.

On October 12, 2009, the Academic Board authorized this modification after consulting with the Student Union. Citing your work

The author’s name and the publication date are used in the APA style of referencing. Brief descriptions of the work you are citing in your article are provided in in-text citations. At the end of the work, a list of references is provided, alphabetized by author name. The following example illustrates the general format for an electronic journal reference in APA style:

Following the author’s name and initials is the year of publication in brackets. The article’s title and the journal where it appears, both in italics, are next. Then list the pages where the article can be found, together with the volume and issue numbers (in brackets). The article’s retrieval date, the database name, the website address, and finally the date should be added. Use the homepage URL instead of the complete and extended web address wherever possible.

Presentation time restrictions and consequences

The presentation’s allotted time must be followed. The presentation will be halted at this point and graded according to what was said during the allotted time.

Assessment submission:

The Undergraduate Program Office is the only place where assignments can be turned in. A fully completed Assessment Work Form is required to be submitted with every assignment. If the form is not correctly filled out, the Undergraduate Program Office will not accept the assignment.

The students will receive their marked assignments back. For your personal records, it is important to save a copy of your assignment. Your grade will be communicated to you via the Undergraduate Programme Office on the Assessed Work Form.
