Walmart managers must be able to communicate effectively when discussing performance issues with associates. Likewise, associates must be effective communicators when they are solving problems or seeking to improve their own performance. Three helpful hints for being a good communicator are: Know your audience, word messages carefully to avoid ambiguity or confusion, and select the most effective delivery channel for the situation.

- Review current and previous course content and conduct additional research on the topic of communication related to performance.
- In 300 – 400 words, double-spaced, answer the following questions based on course content and the results of your research:
- Assume you are the new CEO for the Walmart organization. It is your job to communicate the organization’s overall performance results and feedback to 1,000 associates at the annual shareholders’ meeting.
