Could the Gram stain be used to diagnose the flu? Why or why not?
Biotechnology companies have engineered hundreds of different types of mice, rats, pigs, goats, cattle, and rabbits to have genetic diseases similar to diseases of humans or to synthesize drugs and other biochemical products. They have patented these animals and are selling them to researchers for study and experimentation. Comment on the benefits, safety, and ethics of creating new animals just for experimentation.
