Another reason for my application in graduate school is the growing concern of the world for the environment. I believe that a graduate course will help me contribute to the cause for environmental conservation and protection. I am convinced that today more than ever, every individual must do his own share in taking care of the environment.
This move to pursue graduate studies in Natural Resources is a major step which I am taking to do my share in making this world a better place to live in.
As shown in my resume, my work experience is diverse and has exposed me in various administrative, technical and managerial work. I value hardwork and I believe in working as a team. My previous employers can attest that I always strive to give superior performance on the job. I am willing to take on new challenges no matter how difficult they may seem to be.
My interest in natural resource science is focused on the ecological, sociological and managerial aspects. I am very much interested in policy formation regarding how the country’s natural resources should be utilized and managed in such a way that it does not harm the environment. Career opportunities in this area is diverse. thus, presenting me with numerous options. I am open to having a career with the government sector including the
Environmental Protection Agency, United States Department of Agriculture and U.S Dept. of Energy. Pursuing a career in the private sector is another option. I am particularly interested in companies with environmental compliance activities or conservation initiatives directed towards energy or other natural resources.
As a student, I hope to contribute and share whatever knowledge and skills I have gained from my previous work experience with my fellow students. I am optimistic that I can inspire other students to do their share too in protecting and conserving the world’s natural resources.
