Discuss what was going on at the time that your source was written?
Choose ONE primary source from ONE of the chapters in your source book and write an essay in which you discuss the source in the context of its time. This means that you think about the author(s) of the source and who the intended readers were? Discuss what was going on at the time that your source was written? Was it the French Revolution? The revolutions of the 1830s and 1840s? The Industrial Revolution? Nationalist Movements? Imperialism? Use our main history text book, The Making of the West: Peoples and Cultures, Vol. II as well as the source book, Sources of the Making of the West: Peoples and Cultures to support your essay. Post your essay on canvas April 30. Be sure to include the title of the source and its author. You may quote from either book and if you do make sure you include which book and the page number for identification. Include this information in parenthesis at the end of the sentence that has the quote.
