History

Travel Reports: Each student will complete a four to five page report on a place in Georgia history or government that has been in the textbooks or lectures and that the student has visited during the semester. These reports must be typed in Microsoft Word, single-spaced, and have a one-inch margin on top, bottom, and sides. Each report must include an overview of the site that includes background information gained through preliminary research about the place (30% of the grade), a description of the trip to and from the place and the visit that includes a discussion of the geography and culture and setting of the place and the trip route (35%), and a conclusion that tells what the student learned about Georgia history from the visit (35%). Reports must be submitted as Microsoft Word files through the Assignments section of Desire2Learn no later than midnight on April 24.
