Question

Voter Turnout Issues and Strategies:

What could candidates do to increase voter turnout among persons in their age group? What issues should be addressed? How should campaigns be conducted? What kinds of political ads appeal to younger voters? You might use specific examples of what any of the Presidential candidates and their running-mates did in the 2008 Presidential Election in order to increase voter turnout … and discuss how well their strategies have worked. Discuss the effective new ads that they used for these purposes. Naturally, you should try to get some examples off the Internet and post websites. Regarding this topic, what are you able to observe about the 2012 Presidential election? Or the 2016 election?????

Classmate’s post

For increasing voters for candidates in their age group, candidates can focus on problems that would influence on the basis of keeping America its very form. From my personal example, Donald Trump during the influence of his campaign like “Keep America Great,” having the motive of seeking out immigrants and protecting the border from Mexico. He would also influence the push for these ideas to have Americans be available for jobs and not immigrants. My personal knowledge for appealing to younger voters, Bernie Sanders mentioned college for all and debt-free. Hearing this personally I thought would be a great way to gain votes especially for the younger voters who are just getting out of high school and want to pursue their career with college. From a campaign video by C-SPAN, Obama would focus on the Americans who were in need. Saying he would go to Chicago and help those who were affected by steel plants shutting down instead of acquiring a Wall Street job. He also mentioned his push for moving people from welfare to work, cutting taxes for working families, and extended health care for wounded troops.
