Literacy Resources

Family literacy emphasizes reading and writing in the home. It is important for parents to promote literacy in the home, but they do not always know what resources they can use with their child. The purpose of this assignment is to increase your knowledge of community resources, online resources, and quality media you could provide to parents in order to promote literacy development of children in the home.

To prepare for this assignment,

• Review the Literacy Resources Assignment Templatethat you will use to complete this assignment.
• Identify two quality media resources, two community resources, and six online resources that you could provide to parents to promote their child’s literacy development in the home.

In your paper,

• Describe each resource (two media, two community, and six online) you located in the preparation section.
• Explain how parents can use each resource to promote child’s literacy development.

The Literacy Resources assignment

• Must be two to three double-spaced pages in length, (not including title page) and formatted according to APA Style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center’s APA Style (Links to an external site.)
• Must include a separate title page with the following:
  • Title of Paper
