This week, you’ve learned about the fundamental concepts of data structures and algorithms. You’ve also seen what a large and frequently complicated topic this is. This week, you will be selecting one data structure (array, heap, etc.) and you will create a report on this structure. Included in this report should be:

1. A brief history of the selected structure
2. When and where it has been used
3. Some similar structures
4. Your chosen structure’s benefits
5. Your chosen structure’s limitations
6. A short code snippet (in a language of your choice) which you have written and you describe (copy and pastes off of the internet are NOT allowed)

Your submission should be at least 5 pages. All writings must be formatted properly, and must have a logical flow and transition between them. The final submission must be in APA format and contain a title page, table of contents, and reference list. You are encouraged to use a tool such as EndNote or Bibtex to assist with the citation process. Please cite at least 5 external sources in your work.

Your assignment should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly academic writing, current APA standards, and adhere to North central University’s Academic Integrity Policy.
