The term paper is very much your own conception. Both the subject and the approach are matters of personal choice. In general, you may write on : a religious concept or practice,a sacred text( or portion thereof), a holy person, founder,figure, or leader, or a work of literature in which religion plays a major role. There are four possible approaches:1) analysis, interpretation, exegesis, 2) criticism, 3) comparison/contrast, and 4) historical reception. the essay should show mastery of the MLA Guide to Documentation (2009 edition) style of annotation, and should conclude with a bibliography reflecting original research.
