Do you believe the artist of the painting or photographer knew anything about the subject or event? Did they research the topic at all? Is the subject presented in a positive or negative light? If not, why not? Don’t merely summarize the genre. Connect it to historical representations. Do you believe the image/painting was created chiefly for symbolism and inspiration or more for historical reasons?
-Length: Each of the five links should be at least 100 words long.
-Grammar: This needs to be written like a formal essay. No first-person pronouns like I, you, us, we, etc. I, we, us, our, etc., should not be used in formal essays. You are expressing to me your thoughts through the manner you write. I am aware that this can be challenging. However, you want to say something like: George Washington was the most significant American ever to live. AND NOT: I believe George Washington was a very significant figure who deserves our collective attention. Be clear and well-informed. Format: Make sure to include your name in the title of the document, i.e., ZuponMelindaMSection4Essay. Put your name, the date, and the assignment title on the title page. Each page should include a page number at the bottom. Employ Times New Roman 12 point. Use two spaces. Before writing your article about each picture or photograph, be sure to list the title and link to it. Citations in Chicago Format or (author, page#) are REQUIRED. Publish a Bibliography on a separate page.
