This project is based on the mixed-methods approach, which uses both quantitative (surveys) and qualitative (interviews) data to learn more about you as a leader.
Quantitative Part 1: You will create your own leadership profile during this course, identify your strengths, and pinpoint opportunities for development. You have learned about your current leadership skills by completing a series of quizzes, surveys, and inventories that have been incorporated into each chapter. Additionally, each of these instruments came with a unique report for you. This part of the assignment gives you the chance to consider what you have discovered about yourself from both a retrospective and a prospective viewpoint. By using 10 academic papers from the e-book links or other academic resources, you will additionally connect this learning to the literature on optimal leadership approaches.
You must use the first person in this section of the assignment, especially when describing the findings of your survey. You must conduct research on and respond to the following issues:
Include at least one example of how you display your leadership style in your explanation of who you are as a leader. 2. Discuss and analyze your results for each Leadership Profile instrument. Chapters 9, 10, and 11 of Module 2; Chapters 2, 3, 4, and 5 of Module 3; and Chapters 6 and 12 make up Module 4.
Second (qualitative): You will speak with three people you know who can provide insight into your personal qualities for this assignment’s interview section. It’s not necessary; however, you might wish to tape your interviews. These three individuals you choose to interview should be either friends, coworkers, family members, or colleagues. There can be no more than one representative from each group, such as a friend, coworker, or family member. Request responses from each person to the following questions (interview protocol):
1. Please recall an instance or circumstance where you thought I performed at my best.
2. Give me a quick account of what I was doing.
3. Explain why you believe I performed well in this circumstance.
4. In light of what you just said, please elaborate on the special advantages I was able to provide other parties to the scenario.
Determine two or three recurrent themes from their responses. Determine how these themes fit with the reports from the surveys in Part 1 that have been evaluated. You must adhere to the standard APA format for personal communications, which is described on page 179 of your 6th edition APA manual. Parenthetical and non-parenthetical formats are the two types of personal communication. Personal communications are also not included in the references section.
This section of your essay will cover the following topics:
1. The interview subjects you choose and your reasoning,
2. How do you feel about the strengths that others have listed for you and how they line up with the surveys?
3. How do these strengths compare to your personal assessments of your strengths? as determined by the polls,
5. Talk about your desired leadership legacy and how you plan to achieve it. 4. Your response to what you have learned and where you would like to improve
