This is the proposal for a Master field project. the details of how to write it is as follows: Strategies and incorporate Critical thinking skills in ESL Reading & Writing classes, original paraphrasing and reading strategies. Proposal The proposal is your opportunity to justify and explain your vision for your field project. You need to explain your vision and also ground it in the literature, so be sure to include references throughout. Always write about your project as if it already exists. Required Sections Statement of the Problem This section identifies the topic and presents background and other relevant information such as research findings and educational statistics about the problem, need, or issue that the project addresses. It usually starts with a statement of the general area of concern and ends with a statement of the problem in specific terms. Present Background Information Present Relevant Information & Data Document Relevant Sources (Cite in APA) End with a succinct summary statement of the problem(s) you’ve identified. This is very important, as you will attempt to address this problem with your project, and you will repeat this statement throughout your project. Purpose of the Project This section states the purpose of the project and what the project aims to accomplish. It specifies the form of the project; for example, a handbook for parents, a curriculum for a class, or a program for teachers. It also explains why this particular project was chosen and identifies the intended audience(s) for the project such as students, teachers, administrators, researchers, etc. What will your project be? Describe it and what it will do How will it address the problem you identified in section one? Identify the audience Identify how this project can be used Significance of the Project This section discusses the importance of the project for the audiences identified in the purpose of the project. Why is it important? Discuss how the project will help the intended audience and help alleviate the problem you identified in section one Review of the Literature The purpose of the review of literature is two-fold:

(a) to demonstrate the student’s level of understanding related to the project, and

(b) to provide background to the project by presenting related literature in the topic of the project. In your proposal, this section introduces 2-3 themes that you plan to explore.

These themes provide support for developing your project. Include an introduction that summarizes and explains the rationale for the 2-3 themes you’ve identified for your lit. review. One or more paragraphs per theme Concluding paragraph connects your themes and relates them to your project Cite at least 5 references (APA format) Plan for Development of the Project Describe how you plan to create your project (your plan / your process) Provide a timeline (use the dates in the syllabus as benchmarks) References List Should ALWAYS be Updated and Accurate (in APA)
