The object of a concept paper is to provide a review of the research that has been conducted in a particular topic area. Building on the work on the annotated bibliography, your task is to write a review based on the eight articles you collected. Your best approach to completing the paper is to group article findings based on the repeated themes you identified earlier. Please note: This paper (also referred to as a literature review) is not a list describing or summarizing one article after another. It’s usually a bad sign to see every paragraph beginning with the name of a new researcher. Instead, organize the literature review into sections that present themes or identify trends, including relevant theory.
You are not trying to list all the material published, but to synthesize and evaluate it according to the guiding concept (http://www.writing.utoronto.ca/advice/specific-types-of-writing/literature-review) Students that submit an annotated bibliography will not pass this assignment. Format Students are encouraged to produce a document between 4-5 pages in length (12 font, double spaced). The document must be written in third person and careful consideration regarding layout (page numbers, title page, margins etc) is expected (Students are advised to refer to APA instructions regarding the format of document). APA referencing standards are required.
