How to examine the dramatic social changes that Native Americans faced after European contact. in order to explain in what ways did the coming of the Europeans disrupt and change the world of the indigenous peoples of north America? How did native Americans practice and cope with these developments? Describe the various roles (Cultural, political, social, economic, etc) that Native Americans played in this process? To what means did native Americans attempt to preserve their culture and what observations can we make from this about native American cultures? Indiana Regional Industries makes an electronic component in two departments, Machining and Assembly.  The capacity per month is 60,000 units in the Machining Department and 40,000 units in the Assembly Department.  The only variable cost of the product is direct material of $200 per unit.  All direct material cost is incurred in the Machining Department.  All other costs of operating the two departments are fixed costs.  Indiana Regional can sell as many units of this electronic component as it produces at a selling price of $600 per unit.
a)     managers believe that they could increase the capacity in their department by 10,000 units, if they were able to increase fixed costs by $50,000.
b)    A contractor offers to build an assembly for 15,000 units at a cost of $3,000,000. Should Indiana Regional accept the offer from the subcontractor?
c)     How do the answers in parts (a) and (b) relate to the theory of constraints?
I have no idea where to begin with this problem.

Statistics from Cornell’s Northeast Regional Climate Center indicate that Ithaca, NY gets an average of 35.4 inches of rain each year, with a standard deviation of 4.2 inches.
a) During what percentage of years does Ithaca get more than 42 inches of rain?
(i have calculated this to be 5.8% – I hope this is right!) I am stuck on the following:
b) Less than how much rain falls in the driest 30% of all years?
70 in, 33.19 in, 64.60 in, 31.9 in, or 30 in?
c) A university students is in Ithaca for 8 years. let Y-bar represent the mean amount of rain for those 8 years.
The sampling distribution model of this mean, y-bar, is best described as?
and finally:
d) What’s the probability that those 8 years avg less than 30 inches of rain?

To be an effective public speaker, you must go through a process; every part of the speech making process is important. From choosing topics, creating an outline, and even presenting the speech. When you select a topic, it must fit the audience needs; for example, if you give a speech about traffic safety to a group of 5 year olds, you might discuss how to cross the street. However, the topic of traffic safety, if presented to a group of 50 year olds, might include defensive driving – and other extremely different sub-topics. The way in which the speech would be delivered would also be different. When presenting to 5 year olds, the use of animations and drawings may help to convey your message. When presenting to 50 year olds, you may include the use of statistics in your speech and provide concrete, real-world examples about traffic safety. This is a realistic approach to audience analysis.Brainstorm a topic for a speech and focus on two possible ways to deliver the speech. In your post, tell us your topic, purpose, and two audiences that you might deliver the speech to. Then, describe how the delivery would be different for each audience.
Here is an example of what the format of your initial post should look like:
Topic: The Value of Higher Education
Purpose: To inform the audience about the types of careers that require a college degree.
Audiences: Junior High students; High School students.
Describe how the speech content and presentation might differ for the two audiences.

As a staff member of Norton, Price, and Cummings, CPAs, you have been asked to prepare a memo on professional skepticism that will be circulated to all staff as part of the firm’s continuing education program.  It has been suggested that the memo should cover the definition of professional skepticism and why the concept of professional skepticism is important when auditing. You should also discuss any other aspects of professional skepticism you find important.  Write the memo as requested.
