Select an article that makes an argument on systemic racism topic. It should be an opinion editorial article from an online news source like CNN, FOX, The Atlantic, Huffington Post, etc. Analyze one news opinion editorial article in a written essay. Goal is to demonstrate how the various aspects of the article work together to achieve the writer’s goal. Need to consider the rhetorical situation: the author, the audience, and the use of rhetorical strategies in the article. Should not merely summarize the article or explain the author’s points are, but instead examine how he or she is arguing and using rhetorical appeals. Then decide how effective the argument is based on those aspects. Also take a stance on the author’s argument “style” by giving specific and concrete examples on how that “style” is working or not working. Quotes from the article, as well as some usage of analytical language will be important for this essay
