Myths, Lies, and Downright Stupidity

 Description The essay will be a main point summary of ONE chapter from Myths, Lies, and Downright Stupidity, followed by an interpretation/reflection response. The interpretation should be focused on a single, unified topic or idea from the source and should bring new perspectives or ideas to the conversation surrounding that topic. Those new perspectives and ideas should come from the student’s unique experience with those aspects of the topic. The paper should follow all the guidelines given in the assigned readings on the Schedule. It will be graded on content, format, and correctness. Length: 3 pages, minimum; 5 pages maximum. Follow all MLA format rules. Cite ALL borrowed information with parenthetical in-text citation, and include a separate Works Cited page (which does not count toward the paper’s length). This paper is NOT research-based, so consulting outside sources is not allowed. The paper should be written based only on the student’s own knowledge, ideas, experiences and opinions. The only exception to the “no sources” rule is that the student must include direct references to the work being summarized and responded to, which includes sources the work itself refers to.
